A Tribute to Art Nouveau: Rogue Gallery’s Annual Art Movement Exhibit

Rogue Gallery member artists are invited every year to do one work inspired by an art movement. Art movement tributes in former years include Abstract Expressionism, Impressionism, Pattern & Decoration.  This year the Movement is Art Nouveau. Art Nouveau artists, inspired by plant forms and nature, took organic subjects and flattened and abstracted them into sophisticated, sinuous and flowing motifs. Check out the work Alphonse Mucha, Gustav Klimt, Aubrey Beardsley, and Egon Schiele to get an understanding of this art movement.

The exhibit will run May 26 – July 7, 2023.
