Adult 2024 Fall Classes

Paint Like Van Gogh with Kristen O’Neill

Saturday, September 28, 1 – 4pm

All Skill Levels Welcome

Join us in painting a copy of a Van Gogh! Copying is a time-honored way to learn a master’s secrets, and this class is a great way to learn a bit about Post-Impressionism and why we love Van Gogh’s work. All skill levels are welcome – however, this is not a follow-the-leader style class. You will be helped along the way but may not make an exact replica of a masterwork in three hours with no experience. (And that’s okay!) Canvases will be approximately 9”x12” and we will use acrylic to help speed the process. Taught by Kristen O’Neill, who has years of experience teaching painting. Bring in an image of your favorite Vincent Van Gogh painting, or we can provide a few options.

Members: $50  Non-Members: $55  ALL MATERIALS PROVIDED

Introduction to Zentangle with Joann Cleckner

Friday October 25, 2–4pm

All Skill Levels Welcome

Let’s tangle! Zentangle comes from the word “Zen” and “tangle” (entangled, interwoven) and combines creativity with meditation. Stroke by stroke, simple lines are repeated onto paper. Zentangle is an easy method to learn because it consists of structured patterns. With every line, you can dive further into the world of tangles. In a short time, tangles turn into amazing 3D, graphic, elaborate, beautiful tiles. They are unplanned, abstract, black and white.

Members: $30   Non-Members: $35 ALL MATERIALS PROVIDED
