April Rogue Studio Figure Drawing

5 sessions, Tuesdays,
April 1 – April 29,
1 – 3:30pm
All skill levels welcome. All media welcome

Two and a half hours of moderated, uninstructed figure drawing sessions with a live model in the Rogue Studio. Adults 18 years and older from beginning to advanced levels are welcome. The sessions will include short gestures and longer sustained poses. Students must provide their own drawing materials. Drawing boards, worktables, and easels are available for use.

April Figure Drawing Registration

Intro to Perspective with Robert Arieas

All Ages+

Saturday April 5, 12 – 3pm

This course will have students learn how to make a drawing dynamic through the use of dimension, object relationships, and tips to emphasize volume. We will talk about spatial connection, horizon line and vanishing points in landscape, cityscapes and still life drawing.

MEMBERS: $35 NON-MEMBERS: $45 ALL MATERIALS PROVIDED

Robert Arieas holds a Master of Fine Arts in printmaking, drawing, and painting from California State University, Fullerton. He worked at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art for eight years. While working there he was exposed to amazing contemporary and classical art. He has taught elementary through high school students for several years. Currently, he works in special education at Crater High School. He has actively been exhibiting his work for over 20 years.

Intro to Perspective Registration

Block Printing Workshop with Belinda Moffit

Sunday May 4, 1 – 4pm
All Skill Levels Welcome

Come block print with local artist, Belinda Moffit. This fun, low-key workshop is perfect for all experience levels. You’ll be guided through the process of design transfer, carving, and printing. All supplies are provided, so all you need to bring is yourself (and maybe a friend!).

MEMBERS: $40 NON-MEMBERS: $45   ALL MATERIALS PROVIDED

Belinda Moffit is a portrait painter with a passion to capture the essence of each person she paints. She is a self-taught artist primarily using classical techniques learned in the Philippines. Pulling from her own art journey, Belinda will teach both classic drawing techniques as well as some of the tricks she’s learned along the way.

Block Printing Registration

Take Your Photography to the Next Level with Tom Glassman

All skill levels welcome. Photography

Dates and times to be determined by student(s) and instructor

Students learn about tools, accessories, techniques, and lens selection to enhance their photography and printing. Students are guided in how to look and “see creatively” for impressive photographs – even with a cell phone camera. Classes are taken individually or as a group. Classes will be customized to what students want to learn and to their time schedule.

TUITION $40 per hour per student

Tom Glassman has extensive experience in photography. He was creative director of several ad agencies. Tom’s first love is still black and white photography, as evidenced by many of his images. His work is in private collections throughout the U.S. Tom has taught photography and fine art printing for many years.
